photo show off: may 21

I can't even begin to tell how strange it is that May is already almost over. Where in the world is the time going?? When am I going to stop being so busy!!? (this is supposed to be the start of our slow months!) Not that I am complaining. Steady work is such a blessing in the wedding photography business for sure!!

Well, how are you guys? I hope you had such a great week and weekend. And I can't wait to see pictures of your week! I need the break in seeing weddings, weddings, weddings! (If you got married, though, it's totally ok to still link up...haha)

This week I want to show off a new bloggy friend that linked up last week. Her name is Natalie from Fake Rain blog and she's hilarious and witty and brutally honest, which is refreshing. And she loves coffee!! She's great at design and she's also hosting a coffee mug swap that I'm participating in...SO FUN. It runs through May, so I highly recommend checking it out and getting signed up! Here's her photo from last week of all the mugs she has!

I love them all! (I'm sure she has more, but these are seriously awesome). My favorites I think are the elephant one and the Breakfast at Tiffany's one! If you want a great and hilarious read, check out her blog and her Instagram: cuppajo.

So here's how my weekend went.

Saturday we got ready for the big build up...the dance recital. He was so excited. He even wanted to take a photograph of it...with Mommy! He asked for it. :) Love him. But he cried. The whole time. Even once he saw me sitting in the front row...he waved and cried. Waved and cried. This was the part he was supposed to be singing Baby Beluga. He didn't even go onstage for the dancing part. Yeah. :/

And this is afterward. Playing on the phone like normal at Panera. Swimming in the pool. Having a grand old time, forgetting totally about the stage fright from the hour before. But the evening was an exhausted one. And I think his need for all his "friends" with him in bed was somehow formed that night from his insecurity from a few hours before and needing to feel safe. He's been a bit clingy after that performance as well. My poor little booger.

  4. What a fun idea Natalie came up with.  I only have one coffee mug, it was gift.  I don't drink coffee, from time to time I put grape juice in it.

  7. I have that same Breakfast at Tiffany's mug! And poor little dude. I can sympathize as I have been known to get stage fright too. That sparkly vest rocked, though.
